Balqees Black Seed Honey

I recently tried Balqees Black Seed Honey, and I must say, it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen! The quality of this honey is outstanding; it has a rich, dark color that hints at its robust flavor profile. The first thing I noticed was its thick, viscous texture, which makes it perfect for drizzling over yogurt, oatmeal, or even just enjoying by the spoonful.

What truly sets this honey apart is its unique combination of sweet and slightly earthy notes, thanks to the addition of black seed (Nigella sativa). The taste is incredibly satisfying, offering a delicate balance between sweetness and a hint of spice that keeps you coming back for more. I also appreciate that it doesn’t have any artificial additives or preservatives, allowing me to enjoy it with peace of mind.

Beyond its delicious taste, I love that Balqees Black Seed Honey is reputed for its health benefits. Black seed is known for its antioxidant properties and potential immune-boosting effects. I've started incorporating it into my morning routine, whether stirred into tea or mixed into smoothies, and I feel good knowing I’m adding a nutritious element to my diet.

The packaging is also noteworthy. The glass jar is both attractive and functional, ensuring the honey stays fresh. It’s a great gift option as well, especially for health-conscious friends and family.

Overall, I highly recommend Balqees Black Seed Honey to anyone looking for a high-quality honey that is both delicious and beneficial for health. It's worth every penny, and I can't wait to explore more of their products!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does honey expire?

The short answer is, no, raw honey never goes off as long as it is stored correctly, which is at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Archaeologists have even found 3,000-year-old honey whilst excavating tombs in Egypt, and it was perfectly edible! Despite this, we are required by law to put a best-before date on our jars which is usually 2 years from production.

My honey has crystallised, what do i do?

Raw honey will naturally crystallise when it reaches cold temperatures. This happens as the glucose in the honey separates from the water forming crystals. Honey is still safe to eat when it has crystallised, however to return it back to its original form, place the jar in warm water for some time until it liquefies.

Why does the colour of my honey look different?

The colour, taste and consistency of each honey can vary slightly from harvest to harvest, as the nectar and pollen available for the bees to forage on varies throughout the seasons. This is the case with all varieties of single-origin honey since it is a natural product and not processed.

Does your honey contain pollen?

Yes, all our honey is unfiltered which means it will contain traces of pollen, propolis and occasionally small chunks of beeswax.

Is your honey organic?

Some of our varieties are in fact certified Organic. Despite sourcing all of our raw honey from clean, remote locations, for some varieties, however, we cannot claim they are organic due to the complex nature of organic accreditation.
